LUIGI DIAS Photographer/Film Director/Creative Director/Art Director
Luigi is recognized as one of the most creative professionals in his native Brazil. With over 20 years of experience as a film director, he has also excelled as an art director for film and print, editor, motion graphics designer, color grading artist, DOP, and award-winning illustrator and photographer. His work is marked by a captivating storytelling style and a keen eye for fashion. After a successful career as an illustrator for various Brazilian newspapers, music journals, and comic magazines, Luigi transitioned to advertising in the early 2000s. He began as Art Director and Head of Cinema at DM9DDB Brazil, where he garnered numerous prestigious awards, including Clio and Cannes Lions. He then spent a brief period at FCB Brazil as Head of Art before focusing solely on film direction and photography. Luigi has since founded two production houses, contributed photography to several Brazilian travel magazines, and directed films for distinguished clients such as PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, Land Rover, Johnson & Johnson, Hyundai, Anheuser-Busch InBev, and Samsung. From 2019 to late 2020, he worked as a film director at SIRAP Production Company in Melbourne, Australia. Since 2020, Luigi has been serving as Head of Film at HAVAS Advertising Agency and as a film director at MERCI, its in-house production company. In 2024 he launched his Fine Art Prints project LUME®.
